Watch Your Showa Koi Develop

At 18cm, this young Showa koi is only at the beginning of its development. As it grows, its body shape will mature, while its distinctive black, red and white pattern may change significantly. The sumi (black markings) can emerge, strengthen or shift over time, making its future appearance exciting to watch.

With good water quality, proper nutrition and plenty of room to grow, your Showa has the opportunity to develop into a striking feature in your pond. Every koi develops differently, so its final colours, pattern and size are part of the journey!
