 How to Grow Shubunkin Goldfish in a Pond

 1. Pond Setup

 Size: Minimum 500 ltrs for a small group.

  • Depth: At least 1 foot deep, But the deeper the better

  • Shade & Plants: Add aquatic plants like water lilies for cover and algae control.

 2. Water Quality

 pH: 7.0–8.0

  • Temperature: 65–75°F (18–24°C); they can tolerate down to near-freezing.

 3. Feeding

 Diet: High-quality goldfish pellets, occasional treats like bloodworms, peas, and duckweed.

  • Frequency: Once or twice daily, but avoid overfeeding.

 4. Companionship

 Compatible Fish: Other goldfish like comets or fantails & Koi fish.
